We were just talking about this yesterday! Priscilla Presley’s representative told People Magazine:

"Priscilla Presley was one of many documented victims of Dr. Serrano. An investigation which uncovered his misconduct ultimately lead to his imprisonment. Ms. Presley dealt with this matter years ago and everything is well."

Dr. Serrano was only a nurse in the U.S. which, again, makes us want to stress to everyone out there to check qualifications. Even though these treatments are called “cosmetic” you still need qualified surgeons like us at BHI .

What is Going On with the Ladies!

As everyone knows, at BHI we are very busy with our patients and media interviews but as we were perusing the internet last night we came across some interesting pictures of Priscilla Presley. It reminded me, Dr. Mayer, of the interview I did last week with STAR Magazine on Meg Ryan. These women are American icons whose rejuvenation treatments that anything but subtle and in Priscilla’s case, possibly dangerous!

Her doctor was caught using industrial, low-grade silicone - the substance used to lubricate car parts! At BHI, we are all about having the most advanced treatments available but we would never even think about going to Jiffy Lube to treat our patients. Everyone be wary of the latest and greatest "cosmetic" treatments and make sure to get qualified surgeons like us at BHI to administer them.

Who Would Want To Do This!

On Yahoo we found an article about Age-Me.com, a site that uses facial age progression technology to show people how their lifestyles will age them. It costs $20 for a total of four age progressions. It takes the bravest of the brave to want to see how they will age. But it could be useful in helping us to lead a healthier lifestyle, and learn what rejuvenation treatments would be helpful so that you can age as gracefully as possible. Still, we don’t know that we would be brave enough for this, but if you are brave enough to find out how you look in 20 years, let us know and if there is anything that you are concerned about we are happy to help you age gracefully!

How Young is Too Young?

We just saw these pictures of Ali Lohan, Lindsey Lohan's little sister, who is a cute 14 year old in the first picture and in the second picture, she doesn't look 14 anymore. She is still very pretty but has obviously matured. We are not saying that Ali had anything done, it looks more like make up magic!

What we do know is that women who do want to enhance their lips are recommended a variety of treatments depending on the individual patient, everything from their own body fat, Juvederm, Radiesse and more!

Happy Birthday to a Beauty Wiz!

Vanessa L. Williams turns 45 today and as we have said before, we love her! Remember when she said Botox was, “A miracle drug, no cutting, no nothing –and I love it.”

This is the first child for Berry and according to Access Hollywood her name is Nahla Ariela Aubry. Turning 50 Never Looked So Good!

On Monday, Sharon Stone turned 50 and next is Michelle Pfeiffer in April, plus Madonna in August. We have said in the past, 50 is the new 30! Congrats to these ladies who look amazing and who obviously know how to take care of themselves. We aren’t saying that they have had any work done but they definitely look like they know how to maintain a youthful look- an inspiration to all women who want to look the age they feel. Glamorous Simon

Simon Cowell recently spoke to Glamour UK about his use of Botox.

"To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once a year – who cares?"

"Last year my agent rang me and said, 'You've been offered an incredibly big deal. It's to be the face of Viagra,'" Cowell said in the interview. "I just said, 'Sorry, but that has to be a f---ing insult.'"

Improper, we think not!

We found a great article written about celebrities and plastic surgery. We love this quote and completely agree!

“Aging is a part of life, and most women want to retain their youth as long as possible. But don’t be fooled when a Hollywood celeb whose face looks shiny, waxy and tighter than a drum insists it’s all natural. There’s nothing wrong with cosmetic enhancements, but there is something unsettling about blatantly lying about it, in my opinion.”

A Natural Beauty!

Since Vanessa Williams won her Miss America crown to her latest nomination of an Emmy Award for her work on the ABC hit series 'Ugly Betty’, we have been huge fans of her work but never more so than when she spoke to Jawn Murray of BlackVoices.com. She let the world into her beauty secrets such as a healthy diet, yoga and, of course, Botox!

"I certainly do Botox, which I definitely think that almost every woman that I know has [done]," she said. "And it's a miracle drug, no cutting, nothing –– and I love it. But I also want to act too ... so I don't do it to freeze my face," she told Barbara Walters.

We are glad that she was clear that Botox doesn’t have to remove natural expressions. Unfortunately, bad examples of Botox treatments mislead people into thinking that Botox leaves you looking unnatural but that is not how we do it at BHI! Take It Easy On Demi!

Wow, we thought the tabloids were tough here in LA but poor Demi got burned by the Daily Mail in the UK.

“Without the cover of make-up, Demi's skin looked dull and tired, with her drooping jowls only adding to her haggard look.

We were on one of our favorite sites and saw this picture of Nicole Kidman at the Tokyo premiere of “The Golden Compass”. We don’t know what she has done to her lips, or is it possibly an allergic reaction? We don’t know that she had any fillers done but one of our GOLDEN RULES is not to do any cosmetic work on a pregnant patient.

Never a Quitter

Joan Rivers was recently interviewed by Variety about her new show at the Geffen Playhouse called “Joan Rivers: A Work in Progress by a Life in Progress.” As usual, Joan is hilarious and we couldn’t help but laugh out loud when we read the three books that meant a lot to her.

We think that it could be some fillers such as Juvederm around the eyes, Botox on the crows feet and forehead and maybe a light chemical peel to freshen up.

Now that Carnival is over Angela is planning her 43rd trip to the surgeons table. She is looking to top Cindy Jackson’s 47 plastic surgeries in the Guinness Book of World Records. If you recall she had temporary threads to give her an Asiatic look for the centennial commemorating the Japanese immigration to Brazil. Well, she liked it so much that she had it done permanently! We guess she did like the Catwoman look. Now she is going to have hymenoplasty, so her new plastic surgeon husband will know what it feels like to be with a virgin. This is one time we won’t be making any comment except good luck!

Oh Dolly!

Back in November we talked about how Dolly Parton was working on a new album and how we loved her new song and her zest for life. Well, Dolly was due to go on tour to coincide with the release of her new album "Backwoods Barbie" later this month. Unfortunately, she has postponed her upcoming US tour due to a back injury -- and she guesses that her legendary bust size might have something to do with it.

"I know I have been breaking my neck and bending over backwards trying to get my new 'Backwoods Barbie' CD and world tour together, but I didn't mean to hurt myself doing it! But hey, you try wagging these puppies around a while and see if you don't have back problems. Seriously though, the doctors said I will be good as new in a few weeks, and I can't wait to get back out there."

Not Unusual , Not At All

Sir Tom Jones has reportedly insured his chest hair for around $7 million with Lloyd's of London! Tom's spokesperson would not confirm. A source said, “Even at the grand old age of 67, the ladies love his hip-thrusting moves and catching a sneaky peak of his famously rugged chest hair."

At BHI, the ladies love Tom Jones and what we love is that he isn’t afraid to talk about his plastic surgery!

"I've had some nips and tucks," he admits, with a laugh and is not sure that he can resist another operation or treatment of Botox. "I don't know," he muses. "It depends on what I think needs doing."
