Last night, one of our new guilty pleasures was on, Gossip Girl. Are Blair and Serena back to being enemies? We guess we will have to find out next Monday but this morning, we saw the new cover of Details Magazine. The three main male characters, Dan, Nate and Chuck are on the cover! These guys are a little young but we see why the ladies love them. Maybe in a couple years, our male patients will be asking to look like them for our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks!

Rest In Peace

It is with a heavy heart that we write about Paul Newman's death this past weekend. Known as a great actor, humanitarian and family man, Paul will also be known as one of our Hollywood's Hottest Looks of All Time. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

We just saw this book at the book store the other day and needed to spread the word! While we think it is great that there are books out there explaining to kids about their father's hair loss, we think you can avoid the whole conversation with the Fleming/Mayer Flap! It seems that gossip sites continue to discuss Jennifer Grey's plastic surgery. We all know that she had her nose done a while back but Perez Hilton thinks she looks dramatically different and has possibly had additional work done. We do think she is looking well preserved but that doesn't mean anything invasive.

She might just have had some Botox®, laser resurfacing or regular chemical peels. It's amazing what a rhinoplasty will do to change your facial features and what maintenance procedures like Botox, fillers and skin rejuvenation can do.

Tragic News

Travis Barker and Adam ‘DJ AM' Goldstein slid down the wing of a burning Learjet to escape this past weekend. Once they landed they had to tackle one another to extinguish the flames that left them both with second and third degree burns. Our hearts go out to them and the four others who were traveling with them that perished in the accident.

Thankfully, Travis and DJ AM didn't suffer any serious injuries except the burns. Scar revision is almost a daily work here at BHI, but sometimes it is a challenge for plastic surgeons. There are many methods of scar revision and if they (or you) have any questions, we are here to answer!

Emmy "MAD"ness

It has been a busy couple of weeks for us here at BHI, so much that we didn't have time to watch the Emmy's on Sunday night. Thank Goodness we TiVo'd the show. Unfortunately, we ended up fast forwarding through most of it. What was great news is that one of our favorite shows won! Mad Men has an amazingly talented cast and such clever dialogue. Also, one of our patients has insider knowledge about the show which makes us love it more. Congrats Mad Men! We will be watching this Sunday night faithfully!

Friendly Lips

Jennifer Aniston hasn’t let another break up get her down. We think she is looking sexier than ever. There are rumors swirling around that she has plumped up her lips for a poutier look. Her reps say otherwise and she even told Hello! Magazine, "I'm very satisfied with what God gave me."

BHI WOULD BE MAD TOO

In Hollywood there is always speculation about who has had some "work" done. Now in the past we have commented on Ali Lohan but attributed any changes to make-up magic. Rumors are spreading about possible breast implants for Ali and her sister, Lindsay is fighting mad!

"It made me feel a bit sick to my stomach," Lindsay wrote on her MySpace Celebrity Blog.

We understand the public's curiosity but if a 14 year old is developing, we think we should just assume it is mother nature!

BHI IS ALWAYS RIGHT!

We found an interesting article online today about the nature of tabloid magazines and when they are usually right and when they are usually wrong. One of the topics that they are usually right about is…PLASTIC SURGERY!

“No other publications are as good at chronicling the new noses and trout pouts of the rich and famous,” the article stated. “The downside is the tabs don’t know or even care if it’s a facelift or just a picture taken from a bad angle. They consider it accurate reporting if they can get a comment from a doctor who hasn’t treated the stars.”

Unlike the tabloids, BHI is almost always right which is why the media loves to ask our opinion. Because we pride ourselves on natural results, you won’t find our celeb patients in these magazines.

BHI Does Not Approve

We love when mommies make themselves a priority and decide to do a mommy makeover but this is the one of the few times, BHI DOES NOT APPROVE!

Londie Bowman, 32, has plead guilty for three counts of identity theft for using a stolen debit card to pay for her Mommy Makeover. Bowman faces up to four years and four months of prison time when she is sentenced at the end of the month. The fraud was found by her plastic surgeon when the office sent her flowers during her recovery and found out it was an incorrect address. She later returned for a follow up visit and the doctor tipped off the police.

No rejuvenation techniques are worth jail, people!
