Holy Carnival!

Just when you think you’ve heard it all, there’s a new “slant.” As you know, here at BHI we love Carnival and Brazilian model Angela Bismarchi definitely goes all the way! She is having her 42nd plastic surgery in preparation for Rio's five-day Carnival blowout in February! This year Carnival is celebrating the centennial of Japanese immigration to Brazil, so Bismarchi will have nylon wires implanted in her eyes to give them an Asian slant. Be careful, Angela – you don’t want to look like the Catwoman. Enjoy Carnival!

The Screen Actors Guild Awards were on last night. We didn’t watch them and from reports, it seems like we didn’t miss much. The only juicy gossip we heard was that Angelina Jolie was “glowing.” Another one of our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks pregnant? Can’t wait to find out!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Last week was a pretty hectic week at BHI, we weren’t able to post on some of the many exciting happenings going on. The Oscar nominations were announced, Madonna was spotted with some new bruises and of course, Hollywood’s Hottest Looks made front page news once again!

When It Rains…It Pours!

In Southern California, we don’t usually have much experience with weather change but we had a downpour. Not only was it raining but we were inundated with requests from the media on our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks! We were interviewed by Reuter’s, Stylehive.com, and local Southern California radio station, KNX 1070 AM! There were more too, but we can’t keep them all straight! Talk about a deluge. One her way out of Claridge’s in London, Madonna was photographed at 1:00 a.m. with sunglasses covering an alleged bruise. Now we know Madonna doesn’t want to have a press conference to discuss her possible plastic surgery but does she have to do it that early? Let your doctor sleep, Madonna!

It’s DEEP Man!

It’s Thursday and, of course, we opened to our favorite section of the New York Times…SKIN DEEP. Natasha Singer, who we have been interviewed by, writes about a new book called “How Not to Look Old.” According to the author Charla Krupp, it is vital for women to use “age-management” techniques for job security. There is nothing wrong with maintaining your appearance for self-confidence, which, as we all know, leads to great job performance! Nothing proves it more than when the president of the Center for the Advancement of Women, a nonprofit in Manhattan, proudly speaks about her techniques for a fresher appearance. She told Natasha about having an eyelift as well as a lower face lift, not because she was fearful of losing her job but for herself. At BHI, we love it when strong women share their beauty secrets!

Yesterday we heard tragic news. One of our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks, Heath Ledger unexpectedly passed away. We send our deepest sympathies to Heath’s family and especially his little girl, Matilda. Hollywood and the world will definitely miss him.

Raspberry Looks Good On Her!

Yesterday the Razzies were announced! Yes, Golden Raspberry Awards came out yesterday saluting the worst that Hollywood has to offer. Winners of the Razzies rarely show up to collect their prize -- a gold spray-painted plastic statuette in the shape of a raspberry. It’s great that Hollywood doesn’t always take itself serious. While Lindsey Lohan’s movie "I Know Who killed Me," received the most nominations, our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks Jessica Alba rated a Worst Actress nod on the strength of her 2007 body of work: Awake, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Good Luck Chuck. Don’t worry Jessica, at BHI your lips deserve an Oscar!

The Monster’s Are Taking Over!

Now at BHI, we love the movies but can’t say that we are the biggest fans of chick flicks. However, if it is starring one of our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks, we have to watch! This weekend, 27 Dresses featuring Katherine Heigl came in at number two after the monster flick, Cloverfield. It was hilarious but it was somewhat difficult to believe that she was the “ugly” sister! Always the bridesmaid, never the bride no more, Katherine tied the knot on December 23 with boyfriend Josh Kelley.

Mad About Katie!

The weekend box office was not kind to Katie Holmes. Katie’s film Mad Money didn't bring in the big bucks. It came in a distant 7, grossing about 7.7 million. UsMagazine.com notes that several film critics had slammed Holmes for her role. The New York Times called her “the movie’s weakest link." Poor Katie, don’t feel bad, our patient’s still love you! After all, you were voted Hollywood’s Hottest Looks for most desired eyes.

Sad But Not So Shocking

While we were on vacation, one of last year’s Hollywood’s Hottest Looks for male’s most desired cheekbones, Eddie Murphy had a “symbolic” marriage with Tracy Edmonds in Bora Bora, meaning it wasn’t legally binding. Although we didn’t get a chance to congratulate them on the blog, it looks like we won’t need to. They released a statement saying:

"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends."

Oh, Hollywood romances. Eddie and Tracy we wish you the best of luck.

At BHI, We Are IN!

Here at BHI, we can’t help but be influenced by fashion since we are next door to the fashion Mecca, Rodeo Drive. Therefore, it wasn't a surprise that that the host of one of our favorite shows, Project Runway, is also one of the fresh faces on this year’s Hollywood’s Hottest Looks. We saw this picture of Heidi Klum on YAHOO featuring “CELEBS SANS MAKE UP” and we both commented it’s no wonder that our patients voted her one of Hollywood’s Hottest Looks for most desired skin. Even without makeup she looks sensational. While last night on the show, Heidi told Kit she was OUT, at BHI, Heidi is definitely IN!

It’s Raining Babies!

Is it just us or is everyone in Hollywood pregnant or giving birth? On Tuesday, we heard that Matthew McConaughey, one of this years Hollywood’s Hottest Looks most desired male bodies, is expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Camilla Alves. Congratulations Matthew and Camilla!

So far this year, Nicole Kidman has admitted to being pregnant, Toni Collette, Stella McCartney, Courtney Thorne Smith, Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera gave birth last weekend. It’s babies galore and it is only January! All the same, we want to wish our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks congratulations on their little bundles of joy!

BHI, Magazine Editor’s?

Sometimes we even amaze ourselves, here at BHI. As you know, we just released Hollywood’s Hottest Looks 2008 and one of the new faces was Zac Efron. Well, lo and behold, he is also on the cover of February’s Details Magazine. Also in February’s Elle, Jessica Alba was quoted as saying that Zac looked like a child who wore a lot of make up but maybe Jessica is just jealous because Zac’s skin was voted one of the most desired male features by our patients. Don’t be sad Jessica, your lips are what our patients think is HOT. Oh Hollywood’s Hottest Looks, gracing magazines across the country!

We have said it before and we will say it again, at BHI we know Hollywood’s Hottest Looks! New computer technology, which claims to measure how attractive people are, is using Catherine Zeta Jones as one of its benchmarks for good-looking faces. This program almost instantly gives the volunteer a beauty rating of between one and 10 depending on how many features and measurements are shared with the famous faces. Over the last couple of years, Catherine’s features have been the Hollywood’s Hottest Looks our patients want. Rejuvenated Accessories!

We just saw this on one of our favorite celebrity websites that a $3000.00 python purse developed by a dermatologist is supposedly made with Botox to look softer and plumper. Allegedly these bags are toted by one of our past Hollywood’s Hottest Looks Jennifer Lopez and Alex Curran, an English model and a footballer's wife. A $3000.00 purse is nothing here in Beverly Hills, but we knew straight away that this information was false. Botox does smooth out the forehead lines but, it does not plump anything up! Upon further investigation, we found out that this bag is actually injected with silicone but it really is designed by a Dermatologist. Everyone knows that at BHI we give Hollywood’s Hottest Looks to many but don’t be misled by Hollywood’s Hottest Accessories!
