Famed Plastic Surgeons Reveal “Hollywood’s Hottest Looks”
13th Year Edition

January 5, 2010-- Beverly Hills, CA - While Hollywood has continued to set international beauty standards for nearly a century, world renowned Beverly Hills celebrity plastic surgeons Richard W. Fleming, M.D. and Toby G. Mayer, M.D., have spent the last thirty years making these seemingly unattainable standards a reality for their patients. Their famed Hollywood’s Hottest Looks survey has always showed a mix of ‘timeless beauty” and “new Hollywood”, but this year, a few surprises made it into the 13th edition!

According to Dr. Fleming and Dr. Mayer, whose posh Beverly Hills practice enjoys a world-wide reputation with an international and tony clientele, the results of their 13th Annual Survey show that while their patients do not want to look identical to their favorite celebrity, they do want to replicate a distinct style or feature of various celebrity faces and bodies. No surprise this year are Hollywood Hitters Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who are once again voted as tops, but they are also joined by a new class of sassy young Hollywood starlets and hunks!

"Our patients continue to turn to Hollywood to determine their standard of beauty," explained Dr. Richard W. Fleming, co-director of The Beverly Hills Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery with his partner, Dr. Toby G. Mayer. "Our patients want to look rested, energetic and, most of all, youthful like the celebrities they see on TV and in glossy magazines."

Hollywood's Hottest Looks Goes International

The International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conducted a poll asking patients which celebrity features they most wanted. It wasn't shocking to us to hear the results named Angelina Jolie, since she always tops our Hollywoods Hottest Looks every year! She is in New Orleans this week after promoting her new film The Changeling in NYC last weekend. People are even talking another Oscar nomination for her. As always, looking HOT Angelina!

Details, Details, Details

Last night, one of our new guilty pleasures was on, Gossip Girl. Are Blair and Serena back to being enemies? We guess we will have to find out next Monday but this morning, we saw the new cover of Details Magazine. The three main male characters, Dan, Nate and Chuck are on the cover! These guys are a little young but we see why the ladies love them. Maybe in a couple years, our male patients will be asking to look like them for our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks!

This is the first child for Berry and according to Access Hollywood her name is Nahla Ariela Aubry. Raspberry Looks Good On Her!

Yesterday the Razzies were announced! Yes, Golden Raspberry Awards came out yesterday saluting the worst that Hollywood has to offer. Winners of the Razzies rarely show up to collect their prize -- a gold spray-painted plastic statuette in the shape of a raspberry. It’s great that Hollywood doesn’t always take itself serious. While Lindsey Lohan’s movie "I Know Who killed Me," received the most nominations, our Hollywood’s Hottest Looks Jessica Alba rated a Worst Actress nod on the strength of her 2007 body of work: Awake, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Good Luck Chuck. Don’t worry Jessica, at BHI your lips deserve an Oscar!

Mad About Katie!

The weekend box office was not kind to Katie Holmes. Katie’s film Mad Money didn't bring in the big bucks. It came in a distant 7, grossing about 7.7 million. UsMagazine.com notes that several film critics had slammed Holmes for her role. The New York Times called her “the movie’s weakest link." Poor Katie, don’t feel bad, our patient’s still love you! After all, you were voted Hollywood’s Hottest Looks for most desired eyes.

At BHI, We Are IN!

Here at BHI, we can’t help but be influenced by fashion since we are next door to the fashion Mecca, Rodeo Drive. Therefore, it wasn't a surprise that that the host of one of our favorite shows, Project Runway, is also one of the fresh faces on this year’s Hollywood’s Hottest Looks. We saw this picture of Heidi Klum on YAHOO featuring “CELEBS SANS MAKE UP” and we both commented it’s no wonder that our patients voted her one of Hollywood’s Hottest Looks for most desired skin. Even without makeup she looks sensational. While last night on the show, Heidi told Kit she was OUT, at BHI, Heidi is definitely IN!

We have said it before and we will say it again, at BHI we know Hollywood’s Hottest Looks! New computer technology, which claims to measure how attractive people are, is using Catherine Zeta Jones as one of its benchmarks for good-looking faces. This program almost instantly gives the volunteer a beauty rating of between one and 10 depending on how many features and measurements are shared with the famous faces. Over the last couple of years, Catherine’s features have been the Hollywood’s Hottest Looks our patients want. “KNOT” For Us!

Ever since last Monday, when we first saw these images of Joan Van Ark we have been debating whether we should post them or not but ultimately we felt it was part of our Hippocratic Oath to comment. Joan, from "Knots Landing" fame, recently revealed her new face on December 1. Typically we applaud and respect a woman’s right to feel good and stave off the aging process, but in this case less is more. We loved her from minute she appeared on “Dallas” to her days on “Knots Landing,” she was definitely one of Hollywood’s Hottest Looks in the 80’s.

She attempted to soften the redness from some type of chemical peel or laser resurfacing with make up but instead emphasized it more by heavy make-up which exacerbated her painted on eye makeup and (in our opinion) highly-plumped lips. We think it is pretty ironic that Van Ark has recently filmed a guest appearance on the plastic surgery based drama FX series, "Nip/Tuck.” Love you Joan! Some Like It Hot!

If we had been doing our Hollywood's Hottest Looks survey back in the day when Tony Curtis was frolicking with Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon, we are certain he would have been nominated to our Most Desired Male looks section for his hair, his eyes, his nose and his chin. A Hollywood icon and now 82 years old, Tony is as vibrant as ever and even discussed his Botox treatment on ET (Entertainment Tonight) last week! Way to go Tony!
