BHI WOULD BE MAD TOO

In Hollywood there is always speculation about who has had some "work" done. Now in the past we have commented on Ali Lohan but attributed any changes to make-up magic. Rumors are spreading about possible breast implants for Ali and her sister, Lindsay is fighting mad!

"It made me feel a bit sick to my stomach," Lindsay wrote on her MySpace Celebrity Blog.

We understand the public's curiosity but if a 14 year old is developing, we think we should just assume it is mother nature!

BHI Does Not Approve

We love when mommies make themselves a priority and decide to do a mommy makeover but this is the one of the few times, BHI DOES NOT APPROVE!

Londie Bowman, 32, has plead guilty for three counts of identity theft for using a stolen debit card to pay for her Mommy Makeover. Bowman faces up to four years and four months of prison time when she is sentenced at the end of the month. The fraud was found by her plastic surgeon when the office sent her flowers during her recovery and found out it was an incorrect address. She later returned for a follow up visit and the doctor tipped off the police.

No rejuvenation techniques are worth jail, people!

BHI Around The GLOBE

As usual, reporters run to us whenever a plastic surgery story comes up and Globe is no exception. This week they interviewed us on Jackie Zeman from General Hospital. Can we say that we loved her as Luke’s sister, Bobbie? Yes, we are strong men who love soap operas! Unfortunately, this article wasn’t on her superior acting skills. Go pick up the latest GLOBE and read what we had to say!

Hollywood Superstar Speaks to the UK

Last week, Susan Sarandon spoke to The Independent, a UK publication on life, motherhood, about her new movie, SPEED RACER and of course, plastic surgery.

“Look, I'm not going to knock it [plastic surgery]. I think women have the right to do whatever they want to their bodies that makes them feel good.”

She later went on to say that “I only hope 60 is the new 40, but I think people are just living better lives.”

Susan, you are 100% right that 60 is the new 40. If you feel 20 years younger than your chronological age, shouldn’t you look it? We think so and at BHI our patients look the age they feel because at the end of the day age is just a number!

Not That Bad of An Idea...

We just saw this across the celebrity websites and at first didn’t know quite what to think. After getting used to the idea, it makes sense to us. Kids don’t often know how to react when they find out that their parents are undergoing cosmetic surgery, to them their parents are going to the hospital. We aren’t sure who the author is but kudos from BHI!

Never a Quitter

Joan Rivers was recently interviewed by Variety about her new show at the Geffen Playhouse called “Joan Rivers: A Work in Progress by a Life in Progress.” As usual, Joan is hilarious and we couldn’t help but laugh out loud when we read the three books that meant a lot to her.

Three books that mean a lot to me:

“Elephant Man”

“Cosmetic Surgery for Dummies”

“The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Cosmetic Surgery”

Joan is completely unapologetic about her use of plastic surgery to enhance her looks but we can’t help but think of her as an example of what not to do. At BHI, we believe in the natural and subtle improvements. People shouldn’t be able to tell that you had plastic surgery, just that you look amazing! Good luck with the show, Joan and if you want the natural look, come see us!

43 And Counting!

Now that Carnival is over Angela is planning her 43rd trip to the surgeons table. She is looking to top Cindy Jackson’s 47 plastic surgeries in the Guinness Book of World Records. If you recall she had temporary threads to give her an Asiatic look for the centennial commemorating the Japanese immigration to Brazil. Well, she liked it so much that she had it done permanently! We guess she did like the Catwoman look. Now she is going to have hymenoplasty, so her new plastic surgeon husband will know what it feels like to be with a virgin. This is one time we won’t be making any comment except good luck!

Great Livin!

Dolly Parton’s new carnival-themed video for her latest single Better Get To Living, came out this week and we couldn’t help but think how great she looks now. Not only is she a talented singer/songwriter and savvy business woman, but on top of everything else she proves that 60 is the new 40. Dolly has stated in the past that she is not ashamed of having plastic surgery because she wants to look her best for her fans and believes anyone who wants to have it done, has the money to pay for it, thinks it will improve their self-esteem and visits a licensed and qualified doctor for the procedure should go ahead and do it!

"I’ve had lots of work done. I’ll have some more done when I need it. I always said, 'If I see something sagging, bagging and dragging, I’m going to nip it, tuck it, and suck it.' Whatever needs to be done.”

Dolly, we love your outlook and zest for life. Your song is the perfect anthem to live your life to the fullest!

Cosmetic Surgery for Cats?

Owners have been known to have their cat surgically altered to win first place in the competitive arena of cat shows. In cat shows, judges dock points for any imperfection they see in the cat. Thus, cat breeders and showers have been covering up their cats' imperfections for more than a century by using various techniques. By fixing the eyelids to make the eyes have a certain shape, tail docking, having the shape of the ear changed in some way, or using hair dye to change the color of the cat's body, they can raise their chances in winning the prize.

At BHI, we don’t do cats but who are we to judge? If CATWOMAN can have plastic surgery, so can her cat.

Not Santa!

Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent, England has placed their Santas on a grueling weight loss program. Named, Bluewater’s Santa Boot Camp, the month long camp will see Santas getting in shape for Christmas. According to Bluewater’s Marketing Manager, “society has changed and Santa needs to reflect this change.”

While we don’t think that Santa should undergo liposuction to lose the weight, it wouldn’t hurt to lose some pounds. We all know that sit-ups aren’t always enough. More than 1 million US men had cosmetic plastic surgery in 2006, and liposuction has become the most popular form of cosmetic surgery among men. “Oh by Golly,” can you still be jolly and have a wash board stomach?

She is a Winner to Us!

We were watching Dancing with the Stars earlier this week and in spite of the fact that actress Jane Seymour and partner Tony Dovolani had the lowest judges' scores and were ultimately eliminated, we think she looked marvelous! The former Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman star recently admitted to People Magazine using Botox and having plastic surgery for her eyes and breasts even though in the past she has denied having any work done.

We understand her hesitation with endorsing plastic surgery since it is a serious decision but we are glad that she finally let people know her secret formula to looking amazing!

Nip Tuck Moving To LA!

We were driving down Hollywood and Highland the other day and saw TV’s favorite plastic surgeons in hologram at the Hollywood and Highland Center. No it’s not us, but the skirt-chasing, morality-challenged Christian Troy, and the straitlaced, idealistic Sean McNamara of the hit cable show, Nip/Tuck.

This season they are diving into the Beverly Hills lifestyle, with publicist played by Lauren Hutton at their side to bring in celebrity clientele as they try to rebuild their plastic surgery practice. Good thing this is a TV show or we would have to show them who is the best in Beverly Hills, us of course! Now that would be drama.

Celebrity gossip sites say that Demi Moore has spent $3 million for plastic surgery of not just her face but also her knees. She denies reports and we believe her since in the past she has said:

"I don't see me getting oodles of stuff done, but for some things it's a godsend. After three kids, gravity takes its toll and everything heads south, so it's an option."

We don’t know that plastic surgery is a “godsend” but we definitely think it’s a great option to people who want to look their best. And Demi, you look terrific!
